Senior Softball Beaufort Spring 2024 Program
SSB season is scheduled to begin on Wednesday April 3 at Barker Field, with doubleheaders starting at 4pm (most teams have a pre-game warm-up and batting practice starting by 3:30pm).
The Spring Schedule will be posted when finalized. Team Standings will be updated and posted weekly
Entering its 4th year, SSB will continue to operate independently from Beaufort County Parks & Recreation. Hilton Head Island Rec Center is supporting our program and allowing us to schedule our games at Barker Fields. This decision was made in order for our league to achieve our mission and to play under the senior softball rules that the program started with in its initial season. Current teams are always looking for new players with an additional option of assembling 1 or 2 new teams based on the level of interest.
Players of all abilities who plan to play on an SSB team in the spring are welcome as teams are built with a goal of parity through a draft process. Returning players can remain with their current team or elect to enter the player draft. Individuals (new players) are required to register below and encouraged to attend at least 1 open group practice for assessment and placement on a team. The league has players of all abilities and will build team rosters that foster friendships, fun and healthy competition with rules adapted to make the game safer.
