What a finish! Congratulations to Bill’s A/C for capturing the 2026 Senior Softball Beaufort Spring Season Championship in thrilling fashion!

Entering the title game as the number one seed, Bill’s A/C squared off against the number two seed, Hilton Head Capital Partners, on a beautiful day filled with excitement, great competition, and plenty of fan support. Around 20–30 enthusiastic fans surrounded the field, cheering on their favorite team while enjoying hot dogs and soft drinks under perfect softball weather.

Bill’s A/C came out firing early, shutting down HHCP in the top of the first inning before exploding for 5 runs in their opening at-bat. But Hilton Head Capital Partners refused to back down. Their defense tightened up, holding Bill’s scoreless for several innings while their offense battled back with 5 runs of their own to even the score.

From there, it became a defensive showdown, with both teams trading clutch plays and big outs inning after inning. Heading into the 7th inning tied, the tension was sky high. HHCP was held scoreless in the top half, then quickly recorded two outs in the bottom of the inning, putting extra innings firmly in sight.

But championship games are built on dramatic moments.

The bottom of the lineup was due up. An untimely walk to Ric Miller gave Bill’s A/C life. A clutch single by Donnie Edwards put runners on first and second, setting the stage for the hero moment everyone will remember. The next batter up was Steve Siegel and he delivered a walk-off single, driving in the winning run from second base and sending the Bill’s A/C players and fans into celebration!

It was an incredible ending to an unforgettable game and a fantastic Spring Season overall. Thank you to all of our athletes, fans, and supporters for making the 2026 Beaufort Senior Softball Spring Season another outstanding experience for everyone involved!
