Now in its 5th year, SSB continues to operate independently from Beaufort County Parks & Recreation and is supported by Hilton Head Island Rec Center. Current teams are always looking for new players with an additional option of assembling 1 or 2 new teams based on the level of participation.
All our teams are built with a goal of parity through a draft process. New players of all abilities are welcome to showcase their softball skills during any of the above practice sessions and will be assigned to a team during the draft. Returning players can remain with their current team or elect to enter the player draft.
New players are required to register below and encouraged to attend at least 1 open group practice for assessment and placement on a team. The league has players of all abilities, and we build team rosters that foster friendships, fun and healthy competition with rules adapted to make the game safe for seniors.
